Significant landscape of Barac Caves

Highly worth the visit is one more valuable natural site in the immediate vicinity of the Plitvice Lakes NP - Barac Caves.

Certainly the best organized and equipped speleological site in the wider regional, the Barac Caves have been permanently protected as a significant landscape since 29 March 2016 thanks to the Rakovica local community, and from the season 2022 they offer visitors an additional surprise, the latest archaeological finds.

If possible, hire a professional guide to get a better picture of the importance and the sensitivity of the caves.
The caves are open from March to November, seven days a week.
