Invigorating Hike to Pljesevica Mountain Home
One smaller but special part of the magical Mount Licka Pljesivica, enriched with karst springs and pits with eternal snow, high altitude pastures, and beautiful lookouts, is located on the Bosnian side of our destination. That part was assigned to Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1946, and on this side you can find a mountain home where you can refresh, get all the necessary information about nearby natural attractions and hiking trails or even spend the night there if desired.
The Mountaineering Club Pljesevica was founded in 1953, and today its members are investing a lot of effort in the renovation of their home. They are turning to renewable energy sources; there are new sanitary facilities and a refreshed dining area to make guests' stay as pleasant as possible.
Bihac has a long-standing mountaineering tradition and local mountaineers will welcome you on weekends with drinks and homemade food. Explore this majestic mountain on both sides of the border, it's worth the effort! The marked trail leads from Bihac via mountain villages Zavalje and Međudrazje.
