Great Waterfall - Edu trail Plitvice
Plitvice Lakes National Park has secured several educational trails to present the impressive biodiversity of this protected area.
The educational trail meanders along the 4 km long stream Plitvice, one of the permanent watercourses of the National Park. The stream's source never dries up and is the third largest karst spring within the park.
Due to changes in a geological base, tufa deposits intensively in the Plitvice streambed and creates impressive barriers.
A further walk will lead you to the canyon of the Lower Lakes where Croatia's highest waterfall awaits you - the 78 meters high Great waterfall.
Learn more through a pleasant walk and enjoy the scenery without the crowds!
The trail can be accessed from the entrances 1 or 2.
From there go to the station 4 Labudovac, which is the starting point.
